This section contains equipment used to determine the degree of protection provided by the product enclosure. In many cases, the level of protection provided by the enclosure is marked on the product in the form of an "IP" code (i.e. IP43). The first digit indicates protection against ingress of solid foreign objects. Many of these tests require accessibility probes. Dust chambers and tumbling barrels are detailed in this page. The second digit indicates protection against ingress of water. The equipment for these tests is provided below. All equipment fully complies with IEC 529 and all other international standards with similar tests.
Model SNZ-01: Hand Held Spray Tester
	For checking the protection against water, to prove the degree of protection IPX3 and IPX4. Positioning of the shield allows for both "Protection against Spraying Water" and "Protection against Splashing Water" tests. The spray tester is the low cost alternative to the Oscillating Spray test for IPX3 and IPX4. Complete test device includes nozzle head, moving shield, pressure gauge, handle, flow control and shut off valve, and any connecting hose. Spherical cap of the spray nozzle is nickel-plated brass, all other metallic parts of stainless or nickel-plated steel.
Jet Nozzle Sets
	For protection against ingress of water to prove the degrees of protection with the second characteristic numerals 5 "Protection against jetting water" and 6 "Protection against powerful jetting water" Model Nozzle Diameter IP Code JET-01 6.3 mm IPX5 JET-02 12.5 mm IPX6
Model PO7.14: Splash Apparatus
	For testing the protection against moisture due to splashing water. Also for testing the resistance to thermal shocks. Socle plate and specimen holder options are available.
Model P01.12: Drip Boxes
	For checking the protection against water to prove the degrees of protection with the second characteristics numerals 1 "Protection against vertical dripping of water" and 2 "Protection against dripping water at 15° tilt. These are the highest quality, precision-machined Drip Boxes available anywhere in the world! This is the complete system with hermetically tight drip box, specimen grate, flow control valve, shut off valve, hosing, connectors, and replacement drip valves. Dust Chambers
	For testing the degree of protection against ingress of dust. For "Dust protected"-IP5X and Dust Tight"-IPX6 ratings. Sealed chamber uses circulation pumps to keep talcum powder in suspension. Vacuum pump and pressure equalization system allows pressure adjustment of 0-30 mbar. Several models available with various chamber sizes and constructed from either steel or stainless steel
Spray Test Chambers
	Same as the "Oscillating Spray Testers" below except the chambers are enclosed. Two base models have different chamber sizes permitting up to 400 mm or 600mm tubes. Other options available include: water re-circulation pump, programmable timer, turntable, telescopic support, and a Drip Box arrangement.
Model OTU-1000: Oscillating Spray tester
	Oscillating tubes with spray nozzles of 0.4 mm diameter are used to prove the degree of protection for the second characteristic numerals 3 and 4 "Protection against Spraying water" and "protection against Splashing water". Many models available depending upon the size of the tube and whether you desire motor or manual drive. Tube sizes available include: 200mm, 400mm, 600mm, 800mm, and 1000mm. Turntables and telescoping supports available.
