| This section contains equipment used to determine the degree of protection provided by the product enclosure. In many cases, the level of protection provided by the enclosure is marked on the product in the form of an "IP" code (i.e. IP43). The first digit indicates protection against ingress of solid foreign objects. Many of these tests require accessibility probes. Dust chambers and tumbling barrels are detailed in this page. The second digit indicates protection against ingress of water. The equipment for these tests is provided below. All equipment fully complies with IEC 529 and all other international standards with similar tests. | ||||||||||

| Model SNZ-01: Hand Held Spray Tester | ||||||||||

For checking the protection against water, to prove the degree of protection IPX3 and IPX4. Positioning of the shield allows for both "Protection against Spraying Water" and "Protection against Splashing Water" tests.
The spray tester is the low cost alternative to the Oscillating Spray test for IPX3 and IPX4. Complete test device includes nozzle head, moving shield, pressure gauge, handle, flow control and shut off valve, and any connecting hose. Spherical cap of the spray nozzle is nickel-plated brass, all other metallic parts of stainless or nickel-plated steel.

Oscillating tubes with spray nozzles of 0.4 mm diameter are used to prove
the degree of protection for the second characteristic numerals 3 and 4 "Protection against Spraying water" and "protection against Splashing water".
Many models available depending upon the size of the tube and whether you desire motor or manual drive. Tube sizes available include: 200mm, 400mm, 600mm, 800mm, and 1000mm. Turntables and telescoping supports available.
